Just after turning six, Ruby is sad to learn that her brother, Mark, has to go back to school. Fortunately, Mark has planned ahead and makes a rag doll – Raggie – to keep Ruby company while he is away. But then something very unexpected happens: Raggie comes to life! Ruby is delighted at first, but she soon realises that something has come between her and Mark. Feeling guilty about what has happened to the once close brother and sister, Raggie decides to leave, which just makes matters worse.
This delightful animated film, based on a beloved Estonian children’s book character from the 1960s, celebrates the bond between siblings with lots of charm and imagination.
Parental guidance: very mild sense of threat in some scenes.
