Feeling restless and frustrated with everyday life, Moominpappa has sailed away with his family to a desolate island where he intends to become the new lighthouse keeper. However, starting a whole new life far away from everything that is familiar is not easy, and soon the Moomins begin to feel homesick, trapped and lonely. Plus, the food is running out. But the island has secrets and there are new friendships to be made and romance to be rediscovered.
